Kaiser is still here - waiting to greet you!
HAPPY NEW YEAR From Sandee, Buzz and Kaiser - Rogers Inn The Pines
No we didn't fall off the face of the earth or Colorado for that matter. However, some explanations are required.
After starting this blog last summer, Buzz took on a new (full-time) job at the end of the summer. From that point on, he was was swamped and rarely home, except for weekends. One of the biggest casulties was the Blog. Our new year's resolution is to overcome that dynamic and to keep everyone updated with current happenings around the Inn.
Last year was our best year ever, finally overcoming the 2009 and 2010 business slowdown issues that have affected everyone. We hope to continue that progress this year.
Please keep us in mind as you plan those necessary vacations and "quick getaways". We love hosting small intimate gatherings, whether it's family related or several good friends wanting to get away and to have some "quality time" together.

The Cadets are here!
The class of 2015 is here!
6/23/2011 - U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. -- Nearly 13,000 Air Force Academy applicants vied for about 1,150 slots in the incoming class, competing in academics, leadership and physical readiness to make the final cut and join the Long Blue Line on June 23.
We're looking forward to meeting our two new cadets this summer on Doolie Day out. Currently we have committed to sponsoring one "by name" sponsor request and possibly another.
More to come. Meanwhile, the new cadets are obviously a little bit occupied in their first days at the USAFA.

USAFA Sports Summer Camps are coming to town this June!
Registration for USAFA’s outstanding summer sports camps is underway. There will be three sessions during June.
· Session 1 June 5-10
· Session 2 June 12-17
· Session 3 June 20-22
Go to the Air Force Academy Official Athletic Site and then click on the SPORTS CAMPS tab to learn all about the camps. If you decide to send your son or daughter to a camp, we’ll hope that you consider staying with us, while they’re participating in the sports camps. Our location, which is only 10 minutes from the main gate of the academy, should make your logistics easy to work out - they could even become a commuter, as opposed to staying in the camps, if that appeals to you or them.
USAFA News - Important Cadet life activities - Plus graduation is coming to town

As Sandee and I are currently sponsoring 4 "firsties", we're really looking forward to this year's graduation and to seeing our four outstanding young men become officers in the world's finest air force!
